I collect wheat pennies off and on. Going through a bag of un-searched pennies I found a penny with the date of 193?. Is this a common error? Enclosed are pictures taken with a 10X Intel Play kids microscope. the close up was taken at 60X.

Looks like a 1934 cent with the last digit filled in with grease. Not a premium coin, but interesting to some who are new to the collecting field.

It is a 1934 Lincoln Cent. It is the only Lincoln Cent from the thirties that used that style 3.

I can see the diagonal stroke of the four. That's a nice greaser- in most cases you can make out the outline of the missing character.

Style of the 3 is from 1934. Nice example of a Greaser.
