Welcome to the CCF, Barry ....

I sold a specimen that was comparable in condition to yours about fifteen years ago. These "success" pieces appear in the Red Book, and a dealer was happy to then pay me the full Red Book price for it, which was around $800 as I recall. Mine was the smaller planchet variety.

You might give some thought to a PCGS slab ... which will likely enhance its value and protect the surfaces. Cool pieces these, even though non-contemporary.

I agree. You should send that piece in to be graded by a major grading service. It appears to be a very nice example.

Here is the one in my collection which is not as nice. Your piece seems to have all of the silvering while mine only has traces of it.

thank you both...I think I will send it in to be graded...preference of graders?...PCGS, NGC, ICG, ANACS ?..never had a coin nice enough to send in...lol

I generally prefer NGC for this type of material, but the condition is so high, that I'd suggest PCGS.
