An unlisted coin usually refers to a variety that has not yet been numbered. IE: A RPM variety.

This one is listed on various sites with different numbers. So it is a listed example. On coppercoins it is 1909S-1MM-001 CONECA lists it as 1909-S RPM-001. 1909-s WRPM-002. The different ways they are listed show the source of how listed it.
http://doubleddie.com/902255.htmlA different one:

1909S-1MM-002 Coppercoins. CONECA 1909-S RPM-002 Wexler lists it as 1909-S WRPM-001. Some list them differently, but these are what they call
attributed dies. They are listed, cataloged so you can match them up. The ones that are new or sometimes a minor die, are unlisted. Maybe because none has been attributed yet, or are too minor to list in
their files. Hope this helps. This applies to doubled dies and other varieties. Listing for
Cuds on cuds-on-coins.com and BIEs and other things are cataloged so you can organize them in your collection with numbers. If they are not there, then they are an unlisted coin. If the coin is a normal coin, then it would not be listed. Just special dies are attributed.
