I am very intrigued also. How manageable is the working distance? How many aperture blades does it have?

i purchased this lens off e-bay. I was reading another forum this lens came up in a discussion. one of the members pointed out that it performed very well. right up with the SK and Rodenstock lens. when I seen the words. that it performed like a duplicating lens. I thought I would give it a try. I know I am very pleased with it. for myself I dont know to much about it. ok it has a 13 blade apecture. the working distance is 40 mm. that fill the frame on a canon. with a aspect ratio to 1 to 1. the Sony is just about the same. here is some pictures of the lens.

Thanks. I am even more intriqued with the lens. 40mm seems to be very close focusing for a 150mm. From my experience with the Agfa repromaster 80 mm lens, I am guessing it needed a lot of extension to get to the 1-1 magnification is that correct? I take the number of aperture blades as an indication that it may be a very good lens, usually the higher number of blades indicates an expensive( when new) Lens. What impressions did you gain about the lens' resistance to CA?

thank you austrokiwi. I made a mistake it is 40 cm. I had this all typed out correct. when I went to get the images. this windows 10 leaves a lot to be desired. I find its a pain in the head. I would like to know thou. if this is a re badged lens. what was the original. I would like to get a 75mm in the original.

I agree rocky-very nice. I am wondering if it is all about the lens or just your skills. Most likely a combination of both. Thanks for sharing your information with us. Ham
