I'm debating between Cuds and fold over fin. I really do not understand how the difference would be defined - I suppose that is why the question.

Note how on John1's coins they are irregular. That denotes a chipping away of the rim. There is a also a high spot. On the fold over fins they are more symmetrical and don't show the irregularity of the rim Cuds.
