Obv: 9 pearls in brooch, S.F. minters initials;

Rev: straight 7, tall "narrow" saltire with no following dot, AVST DUX, short fat inner shield with bow-curved bottom, 1-3-1 tail feathers:

Diag: modern (1853+) Vienna restrike.

These are still beautiful coins, and extremely historical; I think every collector anywhere should have at least one.

If you should ever happen across one with no pearls in the brooch, a curled bottom 7, the minters initials punctuated as S:F: instead of S.F., a flat, wide saltire with no dots, and AUST DUX reverse; if it's not a forgery, buy it. ;) Better yet, send it to me for "safekeeping." :)

@Georok, the topic of modern Maria Theresia Taler has been reviewed many times. You can read this thread for more informtion.

Your first coin is older than the second one. The second coin is H60 or H61a piece which was struck in Vienna in 1960s, according to Hafner's book.

Not too sure to know the first coin.

Yes I know, but for example I don't understand what it means 1-2-1 and 1-3-1 .
The .X marks look all the same to me.
I just want an opinion from a more experienced collector at MTTs

Quote:
1-2-1 and 1-3-1

They refers to the tail feather pattern of the eagle. "1-2-1" was from British (Indian and London types) origin and "1-3-1" was the design from Austria. Knowing this information, it will restrict the hints for identifying where the MTT restrike came from.

The following is an example of "1-3-1" pattern.
