Hello, this is my first time on this forum. I found a 2003 Missouri quarter with possible multiple mint strike error. The edge is rounded over and the coin is very slightly larger than a normal quarter. The reverse edge is raised and partially into the "Missouri" lettering. It also appears that part of "Missouri" may have been struck into the raised area. I am posting a picture of the coin for any help or information anyone might have. I found the coin in circulation. Thanks

to CCF. I think this is a folded over Rim Fin. I'd wait for more responses though.

Thanks Dustin6, I've been trying to figure this coin out. The edge is rounded from both sides. Nothing noteworthy on the front other than being a little off center. Another site said it looked to have been machined post-mint, but I don't buy it. Looking at the coin in totality I don't find any machining marks and the dual raised edging makes me suspect some sort of dual stamping error, but I'm no expert. Any help is welcome. (I just uploaded several more pics to assist) Thanks again.

Or it could be a Dryer Coin. Which is PMD. Basically it is a coin that gets stuck in a dryer. I'm leaning more towards that.

Here is the post that picture originated from.

After looking at it again, I'm almost positive it is a Dryer Coin.

Looks like an altered coin to me. No reeds on edge of coin. The lines are incuse on the surface of the coin like it was pressed with another smaller coin. The rim left the transfer line incuse on the coin altering it. What does the other side show?

Here are some pics of the other side. It is relatively unremarkable other than being a bit off center:

It looks out of round. Probably from having the other side altered.
