I saw this and figured it'd be a good replacement for my type set. I see it as an xf/AU coin. I am no expert on copper. Buddy is asking $75 for it. What do you all think?

Maybe it's my photos but this coin still has trace hints of luster especially the reverse. I may retake the photos.

CCF members in general under grade early coppers. not sure why but thats my experience being on this site for several years. I have this one at VF35 but I tend to be a little more lenient on them

Looks like this coin also has had an old cleaning... Notice the halo effect around the devices.

I'm gonna post better pics if I can tomorrow. It's gonna be tough cause I'm gonna be in the Bronx all day tomorrow at a Yankees game. I feel my pictures truly don't show the potential of the coin.

I'd pass, personally. It's a possibly cleaned/retoned VF coin, and better examples can be found for the price. The stars are sharply struck up, meaning that the weakness of details on the bust is likely to be a wear indicator and not a strike indicator.

I do not think CCF undergrades early copper nearly as much as the market overgrades early copper.
