So let's say two members are trading coins. Do they ship them off at the same time? Or does the owner of the trade list gets the coin first before sending off the coin to the member who traded? Or is it the other way around? And what if someone doesn't ship the promised coin and steals the sent coin? Is there a precautionary measure for that? Please let me know, because I'm thinking about creating lists when I hit 250 posts. Thanks, YNC

YN. you trade at your own risk. I have made a lot of trades with other members and have never had a problem.

Ok. I understand that. But I just have another dumb question. Where do you get the bubble mail or the boxes? Does the Post office give it out?

You can buy that stuff at the post office or an office supply store.

I usually use padded envelops (the smaller yellow type) that I also use for my ebay sales. Usually you both send the coins out at the same time. The trading rules on this forum are set up so that you have to have 50 posts to officially trade, meaning both parties are usually trustworthy people. I have conducted 15+ trades so far and only one has had a problem (USPS damaged the envelope I was sending a coin in (i was stupid and used a normal envelope), so I just re sent the coin)

I have done a few trades with other members and I have never had a problem. CCF members that post regularly or have high post counts aren't going to damage their reputation by messing with you out of a coin they owe you.

No problems. Folks here so far try hard to please; they'd rather be shorted in the deal than to short you. Those are the folks worth trading/dealing with. Shipping can be expensive for the common coin swaps. I will generally use cardboard stock the thickness of the subject coin/coins to send up to 4 coins via a stock envelope. No issues sending with a couple postage stamps. Larger swaps go either the small bubble lined envelopes for small boxes. I keep the smaller boxes I get from Amazon to reuse. Try your best to minimize the postage and handling...and insurance. Ultimately there is a breaking point, so just be aware of that. Ship at the same time...or not. So far...so good on my trades.

I have dealt with a lot of very good people through CCF in trades and buying outright. I have never had the first problem. I would rather buy here than any where else.

I've only done a few trades so far, but they have all been successful... Generally speaking you both send the coins at the same time, but not always... You can buy bubble mailers anywhere, they don't give them away, but they're not too expensive...
