I saw that while browsing ebay earlier, was surprised to see that particular guy selling a modern fake.

I agree that Clem usually sells contemporary types, however I have seen a few modern ones mixed in. This one is modern.

But at least the bidders were warned not to expect a genuine coin.

I can not see how it is "worth" $ 136 but counterfeit collectors are in general peculiar folks. What is worthless to one can be worth a small fortune to another. It amounts to personal taste.

This is Chinatown junk... and "non-regal" most typically connotes "contemporary counterfeit". Knowing who the seller is, I can't grasp A)how he didn't see this was modern... or B) if he did know, why he didn't explicitly state "modern"?

A piece like this really shouldn't even be sold.
