I have this coin that I had thought about doing some research on but never really did it(I've had it for about 7-8 years.).

*It appears to be made of brass and/or copper material(brownish color).

*On one side of the coin there's a picture of a capricorn(half goat, half fish(or mermaid)with the words,"Connect With A Capricorn", over the image. Under it, there's the date(s) from the zodiac info, "Dec. 22-Jan. 19", and under the goat's chest, there's a marking, something like an 'l' and a backwards '9' next to each other. [Both, "Connect With A Capricorn", and the date(s) mentioned are separated by evenly spaced dots along the rim.]

*Other side of coin:The word "Superior" on the top of the coin, followed by evenly spaced dots along the rim, and on the bottom of the coin, something that appears like "->x<-", looks like leaves, but I'm almost, barely sure that's not what it is. In the middle, there's an image of a man and a woman in a sexual position.(Woman on hands and knees, hands on the side of her face, and the man behind her holding on to her abdomen)The image has enough detail to make out, but no "crucial" body parts show.

*It has no year.

*It's in OK condiion.

I was wondering where I could get some information on it, and if it is/was worth anything.Maybe even if the coin has meaning. Any help would be appreciated.

NOTE:-Trying to keep this post in harmony with the FORUM RULES- ;would have uploaded a pic, but my scanner refuses to work with Vista systems. Sorry.

The strange 1-backwards-9 object is the astrological symbol for Capricorn.

I can't be sure about how old or how much, but the... theme... on the reverse suggests it's from the 1960's or 1970's, the era of New Age astrology and "free love", when "what's your sign, baby" was the stereotypical pickup line.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was intended to be an amulet. Is it holed, or with a loop attached at the top, so it can be hung on a chain around the neck?

Nope. No holes on the coin anywhere. It's near the size of a quarter, if that helps.

One note for accuracy- it is not a coin. For it to be a coin , it would have to be denominated, dated, and issued by a recognized government. Since it does not meet that criteria it would be a token(if it was commemorating something, it would be a medal). I would agree with Sap and GO that it is some type horoscope/astrology token.

Thanks for the info, Bio. I'm not exactly a numismatic type of guy, but I do enjoy collecting coins as much as the next person, even tokens, as you say. I never thought twice about checking to see if it's a token. I just hope my description gave you guys an idea of what it looks like.

I'll see if I can scan at least the side that's family friendly and blot out the side that's not(at least the adult image).

Alright. I tried my best to keep this pic in harmony with the Forum Rules, etc....

I blotted out most of the detail on the adult image and tried to keep some of the of the other details intact so you guys could help me figure what type of coin/token this is. Any info is good. Value, meaning, history, etc...

Hunting away...

I uploaded the pic over here(Copy and Paste):

Just so you guys know, I had spent a week or two looking for other pictures on my coin/token and found none. So, don't go crazy on me if you can't find more on this one. (Still need the help though.)
