Trying to figure out the font and I'm certainly not sure, is this an inverted S? I tried using the 46 S as a comparison but not entirely convinced. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...nverted.html
Thx for looking

Here is a comparison with my coin on the bottom but flipped upside down (notice the date is below the S)

In order to compare for an inverted mint mark, you need to compare with the current mint marks for that year. The 1946 had three different styles. Best to compare with several examples from that year. As far as inverted mint marks for cents, there is only one that Variety Vista Lists:

There are two from that year that are different dies listed. But that is all that are known for cents.

The Ball serif is the rarer find for this years mint marks. If you can find them in BU, they are keepers. Inverted or not. (of course the inverted one is even more rare)

Think I found it...it looks as though it's the MMS-008, bottom left example "tall"
