According to what I found online, this coin was produced until 1940. Year on this one says 1948.

I just gave it a closer inspection
It is 3 at the end. Rust made it difficult to see. I appologise.

The bronze version was "produced until 1940". The 1943 (or 1944) version was made of zinc. Yours definitely looks like zinc, so it is not so strange after all. Now if it actually were 1948....
