Hello all!!

I am struggling financially and found a nickel that is 1997 P jefferson. I think it is the matte nickel. I'm not sure.... I guess what I need to know is:
were there other 1997 p nickels?
and
how do I sell the one I have if it really is worth something?

Yes, the 1997-P was also a regular issue.

Pics of your coin would be a great help.

to CCF fellow Michigander. There is a regular P and a SMS P for that year. If you can post a pic that would help us help you. As to selling it. LCS or the bay.

The mint made many millions of regular 1997 P nickels.

There were only 25,000 matte proof nickels minted.
They were released in the 1997 Botanic gardens commemorative
set. It would be very rare to find one in circulation.

If you have them side by side you can see the matte proof
will have a satin look over the complete coin.

Here is my 1997 P matte proof nickel
