I found it in my attic, been cleaning house. I can try to get better pictures of it. I have no idea about this coin. it just looks different from the rest its more shinny then the other dimes

Hard to tell from the current pictures.

A proof should have very sharp details, and the rims
should be more squared vs the rounded rims of a business
strike.

Looking at these pictures, I am not seeing the sharp detail.

Not saying it should not be checked out further, just not
to get excited at this point. Out of focus pictures can
make it hard to tell.

A good way for me, is to do a side by side comparison of
this coin with a known 1968S proof.

In hand you should be able to tell the difference, or
if they are the same.

Looks like it was possibly dipped in mercury. Impaired proofs quickly look like business strikes with extra sharp detail, but yours seems to have some wear, but is unusually shiny.

It just looks like it was polished. I to not see the sharp squared rims I would expect from a proof.
