I'm thinking an upper level VF. Lots of things going on with that coin. Die clash particularly obvious on the obverse. Late die state.

Welcome to the CCF! IMHO, it's XF-45 and possibly a details coin if slabbed. Cool clashing and more!

Looks AU-50, but definitely dipped. I would not buy it as problem-free.

I agree with trying acetone before sending it in. Keep us posted on the results, please.

I an going to let ANACS do any Coin Conservation it may need, and I will let you all know what it grades out as. I got it because of the heavy clashing for a c-108a. Thanks for all the input.

Does ANACS do coin conservation? I knew that NGC did it.

Quote: Does ANACS do coin conservation? I have a mint state British florin with moderate toning. I sent it for ANACS grading and added a conservation fee (I think it was only $3 for a single coin). They declined to conserve it, saying the coin would not benefit and credited me back the $3. The coin graded MS-64 which is great but I had hoped it could be brightened so the luster would be more apparent. I guess it reflects well on ANACS that they exercise judgment when asked to perform conservation. I still would attempt an acetone soak and rinse on your EF+ coin before sending it in. Looking forward to seeing how it grades!
