My collection of error coins has grown exponentially since I first started trying to collect them. I have even had to devise a system for keeping track of all of them; though it may not be the best collection, I'm proud of it. I organize Lincoln cents by the letter E followed by a number (E111, for example) and all other coins by the letter C (C111, for example). I don't know why I chose the letters, it just works for me. Sorry if some of the pictures are less than stellar, I'm working on getting new ones. This is going to be a long list, so hold tight because it might be left incomplete for a little bit. I'm to C17 and E156.

I plan on this being my only topic I'll post finds anymore, just so I can find my stuff a lot more easily. I'll still post stuff I'm unsure about separately.

I think I'll post 10 at a time, and then once I get done updating it with my current collection, I'll post here when I find new things that are 2x2 worthy.

The list commences:

C1) - CU-25c-2005P-03R (WV) Cud

There is a useful section at the back of the book
U.S. Coin Digest (Krause Publications) on
U.S. Minting Varieties and Errors, with a classification and an indication of value for each type of variety or error.

EDIT: oops, read the date wrong. The 74s DDOs are in the top 100. Sorry.

Those kennedys are pretty cool. They're a top 100 modern coin in PCGS. I've been eyeing one :)

Nice collection of errors that you have shared. I don't think the 1952 nickel is a Cud though. The Cud line is too perfect and appears that it may have been caused by damage to the rim area that just moved the rim further into the field area.

Trust me, I'm 99.9999% certain that the 1952 is a Cud. I compared it to all of my other coins, and even e-mailed the guy at cuds-on-coins.com a few months ago. He shared the opinion that it is a Cud, and that he would list it. Unfortunately, it was never listed, but I am glad that I got confirmation.

It is always best to put one coin per thread and list that in the title line of the thread. That way others can look back later to find it if any questions or interest is to be pursued. With out the date option, what would you use in a few weeks when you want to find that certain thread. Best to keep a theme going for a thread.
