It looks like a normal cent in that photo. Can you take another next to a regular cent to show the contrast?

True gold or yellow? The copper plating gets poisoned by zinc and if they don't change it out soon enough, the coin looks yellow.

That is where I was going. Side-by-side photos typically give me a good idea if that might be the case.

I might add, this is not a " LMC" = Lincoln Memorial cent, it's a Shield cent....

And it looks normal to me too.
