Group them by country, pick out any of the older coins in top condition, and check out those those in a copy of Krause, or look them up on line in
'NCG COIN VALUES'.

Good advice. If you would like opinions on this forum as to grade or value, you will need to post large pics or each coin.

@gorgon, it isn't clear to me what you goal is with this post. As you may know, some folks post coins here to find more about them (fake vs. real, value, grade, identity, etc.) Others post a special coin that they just acquired or they think might be of interest to the wider group.

Maybe pick your favorite and tell us about it or else pick one that confuses you and let us help you to decipher where it was made.

In the same boat.... I probably have 3-5 rubbermaid bins full of binders all coins from different countries.

I see this as a lifetime hobby however.. so eventually inventory will be taken.. and I'll take joy in that.

Many public libraries carry the Krause World Coin Books.

Maybe check that out so you can take some time with it.

All the coin images are life sized in the book too which helps in identification.
Rest in Peace

A ton? I'll trade you pound for pound for my 33 year old daughter. You have to move her to Canada, eh.

Well, if she's attractive and a good cook... I have a bulk of world coins which just stands in my cellar, collecting dust and making conversation with the local spiders.

Anyway, I'm also quite interested in learning what gorgon intends with the topic. Just posting a list of coins doesn't work around here. I know from experience that people want to see pictures. :)
