These were from last week's Cayon auction (described as what they are)... and I'm guessing of the same origin as all those similar pieces in another of their auctions a year or so ago. This is the danger of putting pieces like this in to the marketplace.
To be clear, these are genuine coins that have been doctored - reengraved to display a date where none was struck up as made... or where it was weak and/or only partially visible. The dates engraved on are around the proper minting dates based on the features of the respective coins.
Shame on this seller!! Never really describes his items at all, but usually handles decent material. Is it possible he does not understand what "regrabada" means? I doubt that.
***Mathieu, if you're reading this, can you circulate this to the forums in Spain and of course your Facebook group? I'm sure others will recognize them, but the coins "sold" quickly, so it may go unnoticed.
