I am trying to track down the 2014 Kennedy Mintages, it seems that the price guides lump the P & D's together when there were actually two different ones, the 2 coin 'old-style' portrait, and the ones from 1988 on I think.

There should be around 200,000 of the P&D 1964 Portrait Clad halves, but I can find that mintage nowhere.

2,500,000 seems a lot and I do not understand why these are not broke out.

Also, the 4 coin set was limited to 200,000 sets yet the mintage's are listed as 219,173

Does anyone know where to get accurate numbers?

As for the "Old Style/New Style" issue, are you saying that there were 2 different portraits in those years? I was aware of only a single year (1964) that the portraits varied, supposedly because Jackie Kennedy disliked the original version so they changed it midstream. Actual mintage numbers for this variation is basically educated guesses as they wouldn't have counted them. The 1965 to date coins all have the second version.

From the page you presented above it appears that there were 2.5 Million "circulation" coins issued at Philly and 2.1 million at Denver.

BTW, I may be in the minority here, but I think they celebrated the Kennedy half the wrong year. 2014 was the 51st year of issue and they should have had the fancy issues for the 50th year in 2013.

IN 2014 they made two types of Kennedy halves....The Old Style 64 portrait, in which the 2015 and 2016 have contiued that trend, High Relief they call it..

I think in 1988 the mint changed the design and it stayed until 2014.

The High Relief 2014's were only sold in special mint sets.....the 4 silver and the 2 Clad..

The original product mintage max for the 4-coin set was 300k, but later the Mint trimmed that to 225k, so the mintage listed above from the 2017 RedBook is plausible (and likely accurate).

Looking at those numbers, is the 2015 Silver kennedy now the key? 352k .vs 445k for the vaunted 2012 silver issue?

I think not as the 200K silver issues are less, as well as the 200K+ Clads..

This information is tough to get.

I think we're looking at all post 2012 silver proofs as key, or more likely, semi-keys, IMHO.
