This is the second Canadian 1945 cent I have seen with this particular blob of metal at the neck. I kept this one only because it is uncirculated. Also note the large die crack at the base of the bust.

looks like a die chip, I am more impressed with the large circular die crack

Yes very nice catch with the die chip and crack!
I am always very unlucky and no matter how many of these coins I look at I never find any of those types of things
Of course my large cents there are almost all of them with some die or crack in the 1800's

Nice coin, I really love that die crack, they seem to be more common, during the war years, when "quality control", was hurried, and more relaxed. Beautiful.
