So, let's just state the fact that McDonalds coffee is better than Tim Hortons coffee... (not to mention that every 9th coffee is free).

Now that we have established that, while going through the drive through to pick up a coffee, I got this in change. It is very uncommon to see clips on the modern plated coinage. Undoubtedly circulated to low AU, but still cool to find in the wild... nice little error to toss into my coin show error album, for some lucky collector to pick up. For those who want to know what these things are worth - I would value this error (and other circulated rim clips from 2001 and up) at about $2... just enough to buy another coffee!!

I agree. Their coffee is better than Tim's.
Here every eighth coffee is free, they gave you the error to make up for all the free coffees you missed out on.
Not very valuable yet a rare find.

Hijack - agreed with you on the coffee right up until Tim's came out with dark roast.

Nice find on the Qtr though

My mistake... I just know when my coffee card is full. But you are right, every 8th coffee becomes a nice latte for me...

And yes, McDonalds coffee is much better. The Tims dark roast is not bad either

A&W coffee if I'm on the road.
Nice to find that in the wild I found a U.S. 1987 nickel with a tiny clip and Blakesley in the wild..pretty cool.
