I am looking for a specific coin to buy, and rather than just buying from anyone on ebay or another site (my local coin store did not have it in stock), I would prefer to buy from a CCF member. I tried the eBay Tools and eBay Coin Search Engine, but found them to be too complicated and time-consuming to be practical. (Either that or I misunderstood how to use them.) I do not have enough posts to put my request in Post Your Numismatic Want Lists Here. Are there any other options, or should I just go ahead and buy from whomever on ebay? Many thanks, Mark

Well, you could spend a couple weeks posting to get your # up... bet you have a lot of questions and maybe answers....

Like mentioned above, spending the time to up the post count here is well worth the wait since there are many here with knowledge (and coins for trading/selling). Good luck!

I will definitely continue to post, but I need the coin pretty quick, and I don't want to 'post just to post'.
No worries though, I was just curious.
Thanks for the quick reply! :O)

What is the coin?
Maybe some of the members here can find a online source that has the coin your looking for.

Some of us have ebay stores, which you can look at. I would prefer to deal with folks outside of ebay and save both myself and the buyer some money.

Actually it's three coins, but if I understand the rules correctly, I believe I would be circumventing the rules by posting the coins here. If a moderator tells me differently, I will post them.
Thanks again,
Mark

Thank you! I did not realize the magnifying glass was a 'drill down' icon. Although I did not find any CCF members selling the coins I'm looking for, at least I now know how to use the ebay Search Tool properly! Much appreciated, Mark P.S. I guess it's okay to say what I was looking for at this point. Lincoln Cent 1936-S or 1936-D in MS-65 (RD) or MS-66 (RD) Buffalo nickel 1936-S or 1936-D in MS-63 to MS-65 I had lost a bid for a 1936-D Walking Liberty half dollar PCGS MS-63, but apparently there was a problem with the person who won the auction, so it went to me. I'm putting together a birth year set for my mother's 80th birthday next month. She's a wonderful, amazing woman. It was her father who got me into coin collecting. :O)

There's nothing wrong with using ebay - just be sure the seller has good feedback, the pics are large and sharp, and you have return privileges.
