I'm already crazy. But, check these 2 NGC slabbed $50 Gold. Exact same serial number. Counterfeit Coins, Counterfeit Slabs, or nothing. 1st. Sold on June 21 2016 by johbossina_0 item 182171543566 2nd. Listed on June 28 2016 by super_collectibles item 322173233891 Quote: COIN AS PICTURED

I must be missing something. What is wrong with them? It looks to me like super_collectible cherry picked this coin, for under $1500 knowing that they could sell it for more. There is nothing wrong there. The seller has a fine reputation. What is your concern?

Maybe its me. But, they look like different coins. Sold, paid, mailed, received, re-photo, and relisted in less than 7 days.
I believe super_collectibles coin is authentic, but the 1st. one is concerning.

The first one looks way too flat in the raised design. The second looks OK, but it makes me a bit nervous that IT may be dodgy as well.
Can't check for weight or ring tone when they are slabbed.

I think they're both fake. Bad coin & bad holder...bad feeling. We used to trust in the slab to at least guarantee a genuine coin.. The Chinese knew that and took advantage of this.

Goldflake, these are FINE, trust me. Leave that seller alone. He is not doing anything wrong as we discussed on the phone yesterday. You need to understand that the same coin can look very different under different lighting. It's clearly the same coin in the same slab, and it is very much genuine. -Paul

Here's a good example of how the same coin can look vastly different under different lighting. Just the angle of the lighting makes a huge difference. I took both photos with the same lights and camera. -Paul

What do any of those clearly fake coins have to do with the genuine 1996 Silver Eagle and Panda you posted?

I'm telling you I don't see anything at ALL that makes me think it isn't.

Not even the fact that there is no denomination on it?

Quote: Not even the fact that there is no denomination on it? Did you miss in the listing that he said it was a silver round and NOT currency? Quote: Also a Chinese 1oz. SILVER Round dated 2010 [this is not currency] with proof like finish He also calls it a silver round in the title.

And that is why it is best to see a coin in hand before making a determination. Which is why we have nothing to do with reporting fakes on ebay UNLESS they are in counterfeit NGC holders with clear pictures that show that is the case. -Paul

The seller didn't mis-represent the item at all, unless the Panda happens to be silver plated, which is not something that would be apparent in a photo.
