1878 7TF VAM Verification.

This coin was put up in grading section yesterday.

Was told it could be a VAM 202 or 202A if clashed. Well it does have clashes but not in same place as 202A. Si I decided to post it in VAM section as well for verification.

Could use some help here

These are the only Obvious marks.
Is she VAM 202 or 202A?

It is a C1 reverse and the die chip on D in UNITED is obvious as well. The only markers that separate V202 from V202A is the clashed letter transfer. Your coin is obviously clashed but we would need to see close-ups of where the clashed n on the obverse and clashed M on the reverse would be. I'm not familiar with this VAM but comparing the plate photos of both it appears the clash was relatively mild and the dies were not even polished. My guess would be the letter transfer wears away after several 10's or 100's of strikes and subsequent strikes revert back to the parent VAM202. You may have trouble capturing the letter transfer in photos. Hope this helps.
