I think I've finally found this one.
It's really tiny, right?
It looks much the same as the tiny copper coins of Mysore, listed in the 1700's Krause as having the denomination "kasu" (cash), KM# 153, elephant on front, Kanarese numeral "1" above, reverse has a circles and crosshatching pattern.
No dates given, so I think all you can say is "eighteenth century".
