This coin was a nice surprise for me, as I thought it would be an ordinary 1881. All of GRATIA and REGINA are doubled. The C in Victoria is very slightly doubled, as are D and A in Canada. Condition looks like EF.

There are a great number of '81 varities that are partially doubled somewhere. You have everything from around-the-clocks to 1 or 2 letters doubled. There was lots of repunching done because they were using 1876 hubs to make them all, mostly with the N's but many other letters as well..

I absolutely agree with you, and I am happy about that (because of the great number of varieties). But when I find an 1881-H with more than two solid words doubled,(13 letters out of 29) I have to think this is a genuine double die, not just an anomaly involving 2 or 3 letters.
