Keep in mind the devices on the ring on the reverse with the date and description is incuse on the coin. (raised on the die) If any movement during the strike happens, it enlarges these devices. I'm seeing that on your coin. Also Die Deterioration on the central devices as Dustin6 mentioned. But with the die showing excessive die wear, the incuse devices may have been polished also. What does that do on raised devices on a die? It tends to weaken them until they wear down totally. I believe that is also what we are seeing on your coin. (an image I will be adding to my educational image files) It may be different to us when we see that, but it is just an even the die is going through and thousands would also show the same event on coins struck after this event happened. So it will not add a premium for this. But thanks for posting this. This is the first example I've see so far with this happening on the reverse. I would like to see a couple more images of the incuse weaken devices if you have the coin handy.
