2-29-08 spot price of U.S. Silver Coins.

War Nickel- $1.11
pre-1965 Dime- $1.43
pre-1965 Quarter- $3.58
pre-1965 half- $7.17
1965-1970 Half- $2.93
Silver Dollar- $15.32

What do you guys think is a good price to buy these coins for, and what can you expect to get when selling them? Is anything worth a premium? -PP

I like to get silver at 75% of melt...well back when melt was $15 at least

Most of the time you can sell silver between 95% and %110 of spot. But the melt value only matters if the actual numismatic value of the coin is less then the cost of silver

I normally only sell normal silver coins such as morgans, peaces, world commemoratives, and standard silver bullion.

I sell all my extra silver pulled from circulation or from hodgepodge auctions here in the forum
