Never had a centime before but when I saw this one on the bay I couldn't refuse. I expected it to be the size of a British penny but it's tiny! Don't know if the wood grain toning is at all scarce for this series but it sure looks cool. Perhaps I'll start collecting these.

To me it seems like these 'woodies' are fairly common for France during this era.

The 10 Centime coin is about the size of a UK penny, and much more common in my experience. Heck, I'm still looking for one of these tiny pieces

Indeed, the 1 and 2 centimes are scarcer than the 5 and 10 centimes, even if they can be found without much trouble.
