Hi, I was curious if any of y'all knew anything about the set I posted pictures of? If anyone could either give me information on where to look for the information myself or has information they are willing to share I would appreciate it. Also, if anyone has a rough guess on the value of them that would also be helpful. I was able to roughly translate the wording on the case using google translate and it translates to Memory of the Defenders of Stalingrad. However, I don't speak Russian and am not 100% sure that is accurate. I appreciate any and all help with this I can get.

THANKS!
Jen

58th anniversary of Stalingrad, you're correct.

No guess as to value, but a WWII collector may drool somewhat.

Value for these items tends to be low unless these were only given out to high-ranking officials, it would then demand a small premium. Russian commemoratives are avoided in military collecting because they always seem to fall in value.

I'd estimate around 10-20 dollars.

It doesn't specifically state the year of issue (or at least - it's not visible in the photo).
It might be a regular souvenir sold to visitors to the city or the memorial pictured on the largest medal.

The back of one of them says "58 days under fire" which refers to this episode of the siege.

Products from either Moscow or St. Petersburg mint (Leningrad back in those days) would be worth more as tokens / medals. However as these seem to be private issue, unless someone really wants it badly - I cannot see this being too valuable at this point of time.

Thank you all so much for your help. I ended up finding them on ebay but as stated by Heavington they're only going for around $20 (if they even sell).
