Nice find!
Appears to be in VG 6, not worth getting it slab at that grade. IMO.

The 1921 D in G4 or G6 has been selling for around $50. It is not worth getting graded.

G-4 Great find! Save the $ on slabbing, not worth the extra cost.

AyoJustin,
If you find a 16 D Merc in a roll, buy the lottery ticket next.
The proof strikes on the 42 Merc is extra sharp compare to the regular business strikes and on the reverse the split bands on top, middle and bottom would be clearly separated to see without a loupe. Finding modern day proofs in rolls isn't uncommon, but finding a 42 dime proof in a roll would most likely becomes a impair proof and is like winning the lottery again!
