Below is the coin that just arrived and I really need your help : note the different and strange hair of Bolivar ...coud be this caused by a DD ?....and there are strange imperfections,as material looses on the neck and below the front hair of Bolivar. The date also has some imperfections and finally the coin is rotated 10 degrees to the right

Thanks a lot for your replies !!

I just see KM245 and KM246.1 and see a note that varieties exist. I imagine anyone could have a coin looking different from what is pictured in catalogs and online.

The varieties in 20 centavos 1971 Colombian coin refers to 2 clasic types :

1.- The close legend "República de Colombia" on the obverse and
2.- The Separated legend "República de Colombia" on the obverse.

I am not asking for varieties....what I am asking for is why the hair and other parts of the face looks so rare and diferent to those in the same varietie......I have a lot of 20 centavos Colombian Coins 1971 close legend varietie , and all are equal to those in the first pictures that I found online and very different to the coin in this post.
What I want to know if those rare things can be some kind of errors occurred during the mint process.

Hola Lucho!

Your coin has a Machine Doubling were the struck hits very hard and creates that effect. Its quite common. Look at this quarter ear 1995 its same. BTW was looking the colombian coin cause I found a DDO in a 1971 separate legend.
