Here's another coin I want to submit to PCGS for crossover. It currently is in an ANACS slab. What grade do you all think PCGS might assign to it? I would appreciate any grade opinions or comments.
Thanks!

Hmmm, no grade opinions? Maybe everyone is a bit shy about grading gold....well, you shouldn't be! There are no wrong answers, after all, just opinions!

Well, my intention is to send it in for crossover regardless. The ANACS grade is MS-61 and I think that is conservative. I'll specify MS-61 as the minimum and see what PCGS says. I think it's worth the fee to possibly gain the crossover. Maybe I'll luck out and get an extra grade point.

I'd still like to hear any comments if someone wants to volunteer their input.

Thanks!

Of the 40-ish reads this topic has had, at least half a dozen of them were mine. I've been in and out of this thread, wondering if I had the guts to expose my ineptitude with gold. My snap decision the first time, and every succeeding visit, was MS63. If I've got gold right, fields tend to count more in the upper grades, and the fields of your coin are rather nice.

I strongly believe PCGS will upgrade it; frankly, I think they'll believe you've cracked a 63 looking for an upgrade.

Maybe you can crack MS62, doubtful it will go MS63.
Compare to my 1927, which is a PCGS MS62 (on my gallery below).

Sorry... I meant 1924.

It's hard to accurately grade by those photos. The details seem washed out.

looking at yours and comparing it to the one in my Dansco7070 (it was PCGS MS-62) and I don't see any marks that would keep it from receiving something similar

No wrong answers? Ok then, it's an FR2.

I'd say MS62.
