I'm assuming this is a coin of Prusias I or II? Doesn't match the Prusias I's or II's on the fake reports, but I would still proceed carefully with any pricey issue. First, the seller should provide clearer pics (assuming these are all you have to go by). Also, do you know the seller by reputation? Is he or she on the fake sellers' lists? Who is the seller?

1. Most countries today have laws restricting unauthorized excavation of ancient sites.

2. The coin hobby is regularly accused of contributing to the breaking of those laws.

Before advising you in purchases like this, I feel it is important to first determine that the villagers from whom you are buying coins are following the laws of their country in how they are acquiring coins like this one.

If they are not, then buying the coin is not "okay," irrespective of its authenticity.

The style and details of the design look genuine and are a match to Sear #7259. However I'm a little concerned about the pitted and rough surface, but that also could caused by the environment were the coin was buried. The mark on the reverse could be caused by a metal object hitting the coin at the time it was found. Would like to know what the size and weight is. Weight should be right around 17 grams.

Turkey is very strict about antiquities and the Turkish antiquities authorities have been known to go to extreme measures to pursue items exported without permission and without permits.

I would be very hesitant to be involved in something like this.
