I have put this coin on my hunt list, but I have no idea of the likely price range for such a coin. I know some high grade Venetian Grosso's can sell in the $200- $300 range. However The first issue of Enrico Dandalo I would guess would demand higher prices than later Doges. Can some one give me an idea of the likely price range for an EF example( just to help me get a feel for the likely price)

Thanks that is brilliant..... Prices were not a surprise as the strike was part of the preparations for the 4th Crusade. Good stories, combined with rarity usually equate to higher prices.

@austrokiwi, I don't have auction data to back it up, but based on my Biaggi, I'd probably place the value a bit higher for a true XF Grosso.
