To me it looks more like 1956 1C WDDR-001 that is also Coppercoins 1956P-1DR-001. But checking these dies for markers might help. Your coin is in the LDS/VLDS die state range, so it might be hard to find some markers.

Here are some comparison shots for the 1956 1C WDDR-001 that is also Coppercoins 1956P-1DR-001. Let me know what you think. Also, for anyone that does grading - can you give me a heads up on what you think this would be and maybe value? I have had very few Good finds and know nothing of the grading process. thanks

Keep in mind on doubled dies can have one die replaced it breaks down and a different die will be used in its place. They don't always go to retirement at the same time. Why did I mention that? Well, markers on the replaced side will not match the known markers as it is now a different die. This can happen on either die during replacement.

Well, that makes a lot more sense and why I can't match them all up.
I can't wait until the day, when I know enough and would have thought of that on my own. As always thanks for sharing your immense knowledge.

Sandy, nice find! I'm thinking in the VF range making it about a 5$ coin probably-the color is questionable to me but I think it may just be the lighting

Thanks - I am happy this is only my 2nd find on a DDR wheatie. $5 bucks is good for a cent. My pictures unfortunately are always a mess, once I take the snapshot from my computer scope I always have to try and adjust the colors and reflection on the coin. The light on the scope especially on the close ups almost washes out all of the color. It is a nice RB though.
