drnsreedhar Pillar of the Community India 1995 Posts	Posted 03/17/2019 09:26 am Hello Palouch, The last coin you posted gives me the following impression the first letter of legend reads "a". Second letter has an inward curve at the top making it "va". The third letter can be interpreted as "taa" of early period or as "nta" of later period. But it is not confirmatory. We need a little more experience to fully read it !! Regarding your Toramana coin, I am hunting for literature to corroborate. But prima facie, your reading looks good. I'm reasonably sure its Avanti Deva and it was also attributed to this ruler by another expert. As you know the style is correct and fits well after Jayasimha and before the more abstract Jaga Deva... What was confusing me were the different spellings of the rulers name in different references but have now realised this is quite common-place.... I've just posted a reference chart of my set thus far on the ancients forum that you might be interested in viewing....
