Do not see it on the Coin. Artefact of the picture... is my guess.

Only to satisfy your own curiosity. Error or not you will never recoup the cost of grading.

The base of the T looks damaged where the "scratch" begins. I'm thinking dremel or some kind of engraving tool.

Finally took it to a LCS, they said it was some sort of planchet error... so with the 5 die cracks not pictured it has 6 errors.. cool.

You can't always believe your LCS. I see zero errors on your coin, how could you have die cracks not pictured..? we can see both sides of the coin so if there are cracks they must be near microscopic. As mentioned the scratch on the 'T' is obvious. The only reason the toning is different in those areas is because of the age of the coin compared to the age of the scratch.
I could easily duplicate what I see in your pics, it really wouldn't take too much effort and that includes the color differences. Just my opinion

Look at the bottom of the bust... right around the folds of the fabric.
By not pictured I meant that I did not take a photo through a loop or crop to zoom into those die cracks because they are plain as day to me and did not need to get an opion on them... and again as I said before the color differences you see in the line are from light reflecting differantly off the effected area, and is not there under normal lighting conditions...

Without seeing the die cracks, I'm not sure how someone would think this would be a planchet error based on what we see in the pictures. The mark would likely come across the effigy if that was the case (not on either side). You can also clearly see that whatever made the mark also went slightly over the bottom of the letter "T". Anyways, if you are confident it's an error, send to CCCS to have it attributed that way.

there is a photo of the die cracks.. .best I could get... I should give some provenance of the coin as well. I suppose... It was given to me by my mother a few days ago (same day I posted the topic actually) and had been kept in a jewlery case for the past 45 years... Only reason I did not mention before is I wanted the unbiased opions of the community.
