Are the surfaces on both these coins original? The dime may be cleaned but not sure. What do they grade in your opinion?

Both look original to me. Dime XF-45 at least, nickel might just make 50.

The dime looks EF 45 maybe AU .. The detail for an AU coin is there but I'm not sure the luster is ...
The reverse of the coin worries me though , also this Executive coin company tend to charge full retail value on most coins I see them list ...
I'd bet with a little searching you can find a nicer example at a better price ...
As for the Buffalo nickel , I'm no good grading them but I'm going to say EF40/45?

Good point on the dime luster - that's what keeps me at 45.

Thank you both. I'm trying to find an original example for my 7070. The Barber type in particular (dime, quarter & half) for whatever reason seem to have more cleaned ones than ones with original surfaces compared to the other types.

I'd say your best bet is to just keep an eyes on the ebay auctions...
There are a lot of problem coins out there but you can find a nice example if you keep at it ..

45 on the dime ,could be gouges on obverse opposite her mouth & chin , scratch on lower neck .
50 on the Nickel , wear on high spots . Also could be a 2 feather variety .

I'm at XF on the dime, but leaning towards a details grade. There appears to be a deeper older gouge beneath the E of DIME on the reverse as well as the more recent scratches pointed out on the obverse. The 1916 is a common date and I would pass on this one if you are looking for a type coin.

I think the Buffalo nickel is a good XF/AU.
