I am curious and will appreciate your opinions about this 1983 one cent coin with what seems to be a Die Crack that start in one side of the coin and cross part of the head of Lincoln, who also seems like suffering some kind of smallpox all around his face...(Mint or Post Mint ?)

Haven't seen one like that before, did you try to push down on it to see if it dissipates? Could just be a plating issue, I don't remember if any of my die cracks have ever come up on to the rim.

The experts here will chime in to help you out too.

Can't see if it flows over the devices or not? ('R') It looks like a die crack to me. But hard to tell for sure from the images provided.

Hi Coop : Last night when I founded it in a bunch of dimes I though also that it was a Die Crack ( with my 10x) but as I am just learning ,and most of the time confused, I decided to put it in the forum and ask .I will try to take better pictures and load them ,so maybe you can decide if it is a Die Crack error or just linear gas trail bubbles. Thanks a lot to everbody !

I'm with Coop, we need to see a close up of the "R" in "Trust".

Hi everybody :
These pictures were taken with my 8 years old 200 us camera with a glass magnifier between the camera and the coin in natural light.I hope they will be useful for this very interesting conversation. If I rotate the coin and observe the R up and to the right with my little 10x magnifier I can see a very thin line crossing over the R .Thanks in advance :

Still can't see if the mark is over the 'R'? If it is over the 'R', then it might be a die crack or a coin scratch. The difference would be if the line was raised or incuse over the device. Raised, it would be a die crack. Incuse, it would be a coin scratch.
