ANA Platinum Night Ancient Auction - Thursday, August 11

Heritage Auctions - The 2016 ANA World's Fair of Money comes to Disney-town in Anaheim, California, and once again Heritage will be ready with a spectacular summer auction. This exceptional sale is our largest Platinum Night offering to date, with more than 900 lots altogether, including 127 stunning Ancient Greek, Roman, Judean and Byzantine coins. The sale is notable for an impressive offering of Judean coins from the First Jewish War, including silver shekels from all five years of the conflict. Platinum Night also features a strong offering of Greek gold coinage and 37 Roman gold aurei. Highlights are difficult to pick from a "field of gemstones," but here are a few of our favorites:

This World and Ancients Platinum Night on Thursday, August 11 should be subtitled "Platinum All Day," as we have sessions of the sale comprising entire collection of high importance. Session 1, the amazing Cape Coral Collection of Multiple Thalers, starts at 10:00 AM PT. Session 2 covers the Redwood Collection of Swiss Coins, starting at 12:00 PM PT. The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins Part III kicks off at 2:00 PM PT, and the main body of Platinum Night, featuring the Ancient Coins, starts at 5:00 PM PT.
