I'm wondering if you could help me find out what these markings are on this coin. I'm not a coin collector but have been looking through many coins that belong to my father in law, and this particular Three Pence coin which has two markings on it are raised. It appears the markings are made of the same material in which the coin was stamped with. Appreciate anyone's opinion.

The coin itself is worthless. The pictures look like PMD done on a wet Sunday afternoon.

It appears the coin has meed soldered on to something, and subsequently broken off again. Perhaps it was made into a badge or brooch.
