Great find Mitch - and I love your note to coop - so many times I have wanted to say the same thing, but you had a courage to do it. - Congratulations It took me a bit to learn how to use copper coins as well. Now with practice it is a website that I always use because Wexler's dosen't always have all the listings. http://coppercoins.com/then on the left there is a link - Die Variety Seach (click) the page has where you would type in the boxes the information from your coin. so it would be 2011 2011 Mint location would be Philadelphia then select appropriate boxes Obverse Reverse etc and then click on the Search button. Then look for your match.

thanks for the tip C,C I've searched before and never could get any results, but it seemed to work perfectly the way you described. The coin has three red stars, I'm gonna be so rich! Thanks DD I knew it when I saw it right away, it was different than all the Machine Doubled coins you have to find before the coin rollers will send you an actual DDO

You have learned a lot mitch, in a short amount of time, and the more you stay here, the more you will learn. Just make sure you use your knowledge to teach others who don't know what you have learned as this is one of the main goals of the forum. Good luck searching, and I am excited to see more of your finds

There is quite an issue with glare on your coin. I agree (without lying) that it is a doubled die. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mdsBut it may also be machine damaged as well. It might be your lighting or MD. (yes, even doubled die can suffer MD) So someday when you take care of the glare issue, I would like to see better images of the date/LIBERTY areas? (just add them to the thread)
