They grade everything a 68 or above

Looks like an AU58. Probably in an NNC 64 or 65 holder.

Looks like AU ish , just a bullion coin. Even in 3 letter ICCS MS 65 are a tough sell. A Canadian Dealer will sell you one better than yours for around 20 bucks CAD.

Congrats on your purchase SolarPenny.
I saw that one sell for under $15.
Worth all of that and more as a conversation piece.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

definitely a specimen strike, NNC probably called is SP-69 or 70?

Actual grade: PL-69! Book value of over $1000 I think haha.

Thanks DBM! Definitely bought it more for the conversation than the coin, at that price I couldn't pass up on it.

Good guess TheCoinHunter, only off by 2 ;).

I held this one up to my ICCS graded PL-64 dollar and it's amazing how much nicer the ICCS one is. I have no idea how NNC can be that far off on the grades.
