I also thought VF-20, but I did not recognize the cleaning.

T-BOP: What are the signs of cleaning? (So I can learn to recognize them better.)

21Maverick21 - Where did you find it? Awesome coin to discover!

VF20 cleaned.
It has hairline patches in field with light color in contrast to the dark areas where are hard to be reached by mechanic cleaning.

I think the hair detail is a bit light for VF20. I'm at F12 cleaned.

< dd27 > , The color of an old circulated copper cent is the key to determinate if it's been cleaned . see the dull pinkish color with a darker copper color between the letters on reverse where the cleaner was unable to get in there properly . this coin was cleaned by a NON professional .
