Thanks folks. The toning does provide eye appeal. I appreciate your input. And I was correct on the grading for once. I am using PCGS Photograde app to help me out. Plus comparing to a lot of stabbed coins on the web. Begards, Bill

What's going on with those steps in the area above/between the 'T' and 'C'?

Is this some type of growth, an uneven strike, or an optical illusion?

For that year and other older nickels were 'full steps' available or virtually impossible to exist because of the die features and striking methodology prevalent at that point in time?

When did the FS designation eventually begin to occur more frequently to the point when its presence no longer added any additional premium to a nickel's value?
