Hey guys

So over the past couple weeks ebay has ended a few of my listings...
One of the listings was a PCI graded coin and the other a NTC coin ..
I understand that they are not ebay approved grading companies , but what I don't get is why all the sudden after listing coins like this since I've been on ebay have they started doing this now ?
I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong here , as I don't state the grade of the coin and they only seem to go after certain listings ..

Like today they ending a NTC coin while I had 2 other NTC coins also listed that they never bothered ...

Is there something I'm missing or what ?
For the longest time I never had any problems as long as I didn't list the grade of a NTC , PCI , SEGS coin ...
I thought maybe it was since the photo shows the slab with the grade but I don't think that's it as the two that are still listed show the slab aswell ...

I thought maybe you guys could shed some light on this for me :)

Another thing that I don't get is ebay has a category for NTC coins when you go to search for them so why take mine down ?

This is a new direction started just a month ago. Everything but NGC, PCGS, or ICG will be taken down if it shows the grade on the slab. Too many complaints about crap in lower tier slabs.

Its new, so they haven't caught them all and application of the rules may be a bit inconsistent at the beginning.

1). ANACS is one of the "approved" grading companies.

2). On your listings, mask out the numerical grade on the photos of your 3rd world slab and you should be fine.

As to why they did one and not the other two, someone probably reported that one but not the others.

I sell on ebay all the time (not coins) and I've found that they have some sort of automated search algorithm that finds things like banned key words in listing titles. It is random in terms of which of my listings get hit and which don't, and it also comes in waves. I'll be fine for months and months, then get hit a bunch of times over the course of a week or two. I don't want to get too deep into it but it is a situation where the words it wants to ban are nonsensical, I'm not intentionally trying to trick anyone or purposely use banned words.

So if you mention the grading companies it may be randomly finding them that way. If it is a picture only then it is likely someone reporting you, though computers are getting sophisticated enough that is is possible that they can read words in an image if it is standardized like on a slab label. If it is the images getting you in trouble then just blur out the company and grade using photoshop.
