Hoping one of you DD experts can help me with this. I am finding a bunch of these in a box. It looks like I have the markers for the stage A of the 086. I'm confused because it looks like there is an extra finger above the index finger on the book spline. Am I looking at the wrong attribution number. I have been searching for a while and can't seem to find it.

From the image provided, it make it look close, but the rotation of your image maybe masking it a bit. The line near the binding under the thumb looks like a different angle. It may be a light to coin issue. But if you can make a copy of John's image and retake an image at the same angle, that might help to put this to an end. On the WDDR-86 the line near the binding is vertical. Maybe rotated, you coin will also show the same lighting? It maybe this die, or maybe a different/new one. That would help use to see what is going on. (you image is too close for me to edit to make them both at the same angle) If you need help with this, email me a larger version of that area on your coin. I can rotate the image to make them the same with Photoshop.

Looking again at your image, I think I see a ghost image of a thumb on that area. (very light, not a finger print) That is what makes me think it is not that die.

Rotated the image. About the best I can do for lighting with the equipment I have. Also added image of another marker for the 086. Thinking it must be the 086.

Need to clarify. I am finding a bunch of the 086's. This is the only one I found that looks a little different. Hopefully I can find another that looks like this one.

Thank you coop. That's good to see. I appreciate your effort. I need to look into getting Photoshop. Looks like it is a useful tool (perhaps even necessary) for an error/variety collector.

It takes a while to get used to. But so handy when you get the hang of it.

It is nice to find a bunch. Kind of like gambling when you buy the boxes. You don't know if your gonna win or lose.

Nice finds! I found 12 of these, (not the same die as yours) out of one roll from the mint. I know how it feels to find a bunch of one variety, it feels awesome!
